Dr. Coto is a board-certified adult interventional cardiologist with additional extensive training and expertise in all phases of non-invasive cardiology, preventive cardiac care, risk factor identification and modification and research participation. He also holds a nuclear license for sophisticated nuclear stress testing performance and interpretation. Additionally Dr. Coto provides complex acute care to cardiology patients at the hospital level with other members of hospital team.
In addition to being the chief of cardiology at Saint Joseph Hospital, Dr. Coto is the president of the Hillsborough County Medical Association for the term of May 2009-2010.
Dr. Coto received his medical degree from Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1976. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency in 1982 at East Tennessee State University, Quillen-Dishner College of Medicine. It was at that time that Dr. Coto pursued his interest in Cardiology by continuing his Fellowship training at the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky and furthered his Research Fellowship in Cardiology in 1984 sponsored by the American Heart Association, KY Affiliate.
Dr. Coto holds board Certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology.
He is also a member of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Citizens on Patrol Program.

Dr. Palumbo has been practicing cardiology for over 30 years in Tampa and is recognized as on the top cardiologists in this community. He supervises exercise stress nuclears in the office.
Mr. Guerrero has been a Physician Assistant, working with Dr. Coto for more than ten years. He received his medical degree from the University of Habana and practiced Internal Medicine before emmigrating to the United States. He has vast experience in Cardiology and is an asset to the office.
